The work
Your role at ADEL
Build the operating discipline that helps small expert teams deliver reliably. You will work with FDEs, customer leaders and commercial colleagues to make scope, risk, capacity and ownership explicit. This is delivery leadership close to the work, not reporting detached from engineering reality.
ADEL stands for AI Development and Expertise Labs. We bring senior expertise, embedded delivery and capability transfer to enterprise AI. Your work should help customers move forward with systems they understand and can own.
What you will do
- Translate customer commitments into delivery plans with measurable acceptance criteria, milestones, dependencies and owners.
- Oversee multiple engagements, balancing Pod capacity, specialist expertise and customer priorities.
- Maintain a clear view of delivery health, budgets, scope changes and unresolved decisions; intervene early when plans are at risk.
- Partner with technical leads on production readiness, evaluation, security reviews and operational handover.
- Lead customer reviews with evidence of progress, clear trade-offs and accountable next steps.
- Coach delivery leads and improve reusable planning, escalation and governance practices without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Coordinate commercial and delivery teams so proposed work is achievable and changes are agreed transparently.
- Make documentation, customer enablement and ownership transfer part of completion criteria.
What you bring
- A demonstrable record of leading complex software, data or AI programmes through production and handover.
- Experience overseeing several workstreams or customer engagements, including staffing, budgets and delivery risk.
- Technical fluency to question assumptions about integration, evaluation, reliability and security alongside engineering leaders.
- Ability to make difficult scope and priority decisions with customers while protecting trust.
- Experience developing delivery leaders and setting standards that teams can use in practice.
- Clear executive communication grounded in evidence, not optimistic status reporting.
Useful, but not essential
- Direct experience with production AI or agent-enabled applications.
- Experience building a delivery practice in a growing consulting or engineering organisation.
- Experience coordinating customers and engineering teams across regions.
What good looks like
- Customers and teams share a realistic view of delivery commitments, risks and progress.
- Engagements reach agreed acceptance criteria with clear financial and operational ownership.
- Delivery quality becomes repeatable as ADEL grows, and customer teams retain the capability to operate what was built.
